Dear Valued Partner,
We are writing to inform you of an important change in our operations that will impact how you send and manage inventory. We are ending Wayfair operations at the DBF facilities in Savannah, GA and Santa Fe Springs, CA on May 31, 2024.
While we were operating the DBF’s we simultaneously strengthened our own positioning capabilities through CastleGate Inventory Cross-Dock (IXD) program. With our CastleGate IXD now on par with DBF, we’re transitioning the DBF positioning work in-house through our IXD program, managed and operated by our internal Wayfair teams.
Below are the key points regarding this transition:
DBF Operations Winding Down:
- Starting March 15, 2024, Order Entry in Partner Home will no longer be providing destination guidance to the DBF’s (SAV and SFS) for newly created SPOs.
- Prior to Wayfair’s departure from the DBFs, we will ensure that (1) there are ZERO inbound SPOs headed to the DBFs, and (2) 100% of cartons at the DBF have been trucked out to the final FC (Fulfillment Center).
Follow Partner Home Destination Guidelines:
- Going forward, please continue to follow the guidelines provided by Partner Home recommendations for shipping instructions and container deliveries.
Partner Home recommendations will provide induction guidance for shipments, either through CFS (Asia Consolidation Warehouse) or to an FC, and handle any subsequent forward positioning.
- We recommend our partners leverage Asia Logistics where available to get consolidated shipment guidance to all FCs from our individual origin CFS facilities.
- Shipments that are inducted to an FC will get additional IXD guidance to position throughout the network. Cranbury, Erlanger, Port Wentworth and Perris are our primary inbound IXD FC nodes.
We understand that adjustments may be necessary for your operations, and we are committed to working closely with you during this transition. Our goal is to ensure minimal disruption to your supply chain and maintain the high standards we have set for our partnership.
