Peak Season Surcharge for North America Shipments:
In light of recent market conditions, we have implemented a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of $1500 per container (all sizes) on all shipments effective June 15, 2024, gate-in date. We want to assure you that it has been carefully considered and that CGF is committed to closely monitoring the situation. We will remove the surcharge as soon as feasibly possible.
New Service from Brazil:
We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our ocean and drayage service offerings to include shipments from Brazil to CastleGate Fulfillment Centers and your own dropship warehouses in North America. We are supporting Rio Grande, Navegantes and Itapoa initially, and plan to expand service to additional ports in the future.
New Inbound Order Management:
We’ve made it easier for you to find, update and track your inbound orders with the new Inbound Order Management tool on Partner Home. Some improvements include: the ability to search by ACN, order ID, shipment ID, and container number, new and improved filters, including status, services, origin, and destination, increased visibility into booking information and shipping milestones, and a consolidated CSV download for orders and shipments.
Report invoice payments on Partner Home:
With this new feature you can request an application of credits to pay for invoice balances and update the status of your invoice after you’ve sent a payment. This tool replaces the need to send an email to our accounting team! Select the card icon in the ‘Actions’ column to report a single invoice payment or select multiple invoices from your list on the Accounts Payable Summary page. Bonus! You can now bulk select up to 200 invoices at a time.
Updated FBCG PDF Invoices:
To support the shift to invoicing against your original order, reducing the number of invoices you currently receive for FBCG services, we have added the original order number to the FBCG PDF invoice for easier reconciliation.
Market disruptions
Capacity and Lead Times:
The ocean freight industry is currently experiencing delays due to increased demand and limited capacity. To minimize disruptions to your shipments, plan for longer transit times, consider alternative routes, and submit bookings early. CGF is actively working to mitigate these challenges and secure capacity for our customers.
Port of Baltimore- Resumption of Normal Operations:
The Port of Baltimore is back to full operation! Shipments will now be routed through Baltimore as usual. We appreciate your understanding and patience during the recent disruption.
Upcoming Improvements:
Flexibility across Fixed and Floating rates for FBS(Fulfilled by Supplier):
Suppliers with CGF fixed and floating rate agreements will soon have the flexibility to choose their preferred rate when placing FBS orders on Partner Home starting mid-Q3, with FBCG orders following in early Q4.
Enhanced Search, Filtering, and Visibility on Partner Home:
Ability to search by part number, ability to filter by ocean only or dray only services, visibility into the contract your order is tied to, and further consolidation of CSVs.
Landed Invoices Summary:
To simplify FBCG invoice reconciliation and reduce the number of invoices you receive, we will be adding the original order number to the PDF invoice, supporting the shift to invoicing against your original order.
